Example of a comprehensive modernisation in Andratx
The existing building was comprehensively upgraded both technically and aesthetically. In addition to improving the energy efficiency of the building envelope, façade areas were rebuilt, window openings adapted and new window elements installed.
Some façade areas were fitted with an external thermal insulation composite system, while others were redesigned with natural stone. Particular attention was paid to the connections between the existing structure, insulation, natural stone and the new windows.
In the upper façade area, the existing parapet was dismantled and replaced with a new structural finish.
This preserved the character of the existing building while significantly improving its technology, energy efficiency and appearance.
